What the hell is it with these "news" outlets such as NBC sending only black reporters to Obama's inaug?
For the folks in Houston, Local2 sent Jerome "I left Channel 11 for this crap?" Gray and Mary "I'm going back for seconds!" Benton to D.C., and NBC national has Rehema Ellis, among others out interviewing nothing but black people for their stories.
Look, I get it. It's a big step for blacks to have one of their own as pres, but when they don't even know what the HELL Barry O stands for, and just vote based on race (wait, isn't that racism? huh.) that pisses me off more than you know.
If you didn't see the story, many, if not all Repub's are skippin' town and leaving D.C., some heading to Palm Springs for a anti-inaug vacation. Can't blame 'em one bit. Hard as it may be, I'll be avoiding any television, radio and internet coverage of news/Obamania through the Wednesday at least.
On a sidenote - a very disgraceful, embarrassing sidenote, Barry was riding a train, a la Lincoln, on the "balcony" of the back car, waving to the crowd.
...after almost chunking the tube out my window...and a large cup of Folgers to calm me down, I can only say that I am truly embarrassed to be an American right now.
Obama claimed in a recent speech that he wants us to go back to what our forefathers believed in - they didn't believe in socialism and the government controlling your every move.
Lincoln should be rolling over in his grave right now.
